On 31st Jan 2017, our ASOA conducted a wonderful first session of ” Progressive Basic & Advance Lenses ” by Ms.Ananthalaksmi, AGM, Professional Sevices, Essilor India, at our RIO GOH Auditorium.

Earlier Mr.Chandrashekar, Joint Secretary gave Welcome Address.
Mr.Karunagaran, Vice President, presided over the programme.

Mr.A.Sirajuddin, President appreciated & extended his gratitude to Optom.Mrs.Ananthalakshmi, on accepting our call to give her valuable time for our Students to explore & update the knowledge of Progressive Lenses on their future practice.

Vice President, Mr.Karunagaran honoured her with a shawl and Secretary, Mr. Vivekanandan gave her a memonto.

Mrs. Ananthalakshmi carried out her Presentation on Progressive Addition Lenses in her own excellent way, from basics to latest designs of PAL. Students were very enthusiastic, interactive and took all opportunity to follow her with full attendence. Again it was a refreshing opening for our students to understand the PAL with patients’ perspective & dispensing.

After tireless one hour session, she assured us to visit our College of Optometry, RIO GOH again to conduct two more similar sessions on later dates, which would be amazing for our Students in near future.

At the end of the session, Secretary, Mr.Vivekanandan extended vote of thanks and reminded the Students not to miss these golden opportunities of acquiring knowledge.
