On taking our initiative towards appointments of lecturers for College of Optometry, RIO, GOH and filling of Optometrist vacancies in Government Hospitals, today a team of Optima on behalf of ASOA met Dr.Radhakrishnan, Health Secretary, Government of Tamil Nadu.

Our Past President Mr.Palaniappan, presented a flower bouquet and expressed our gratitude to him for his great support on starting the B. Optom Course in RIO GOH, and explained the urgency of having faculties for the graduate students, then he added on the requiremnent of the strength of Optometrists to serve the patients lot in the Government Hospitals where the vacancies have to be filled.

Our esteemed Health Secretary graciously listened us and assured to conduct immediate meetings with the concerned authorities and to do the needful at the earliest.

Later, President Mr.Sirajuddin, honoured our Health Secretary with a shawl and the meeting ended with positive note.
